Alternate Shadows have entered a play for the very first
time into the festival and we are performing at 7.30pm
on 21st Feb.
Our entry is a play called 'Jack'
by Peter Bridges.
The cast is Steve Perrin, Mick Harris and Owen Beesley,
with lighting and sound by Ben Harrison and stage managed
and directed by Richard Harding.
We first performed this play as part of 'The Battle Of
The Sexes' competition back in September 2011.
If you missed it - here's what it's about..... |
Jack is
upset. He needs to come to terms with what`s happened
in his life. He just wants to be left alone. His only
problem is G, who seems to have no respect for the dead.
Why is G there? What does he want? As time goes on, Jack
finds more questions than answers.
As part of our entry we have been allocated 15 tickets.
The tickets cost £8.00.
As you can imagine demand for our ticket allocation is
already underway therefore if you would like to come along
and support our entry with rapturous applause please contact
Richard or Mick to reserve you a ticket
as soon as possible.
The cast and production team look forward to seeing you
there.

FOUL DEEDS AT THE FALSTAFF
an original Murder Mystery Evening
A large portion of your ticket price will go to The British
Heart Foundation, for more details contact barrie.howes@btinternet.com
Fisticuffs and furtive goings on are only the tip of
the ice bucket at the Falstaff pub. There are shady dealings
and dastardly plans afoot and that is just by the staff…
Maisy the barmaid is a little worried about her boyfriend,
George the Cook – he seems to be up to his old tricks
again… Christy the landlady is equally bothered
by the antics of the strange man in the guest room upstairs…
and then Kurt the bully boy turns up looking for Jasper,
her son. Bill, the not so upstanding Landlord is not easily
perturbed but when a dead body turns up in the bar lounge
he starts to feel the pressure when Detective Inspector
Fearne and her assistant just happen to step in for a
pint… perhaps you could help them solve the puzzle;
after all, you are all there when it happened!
Can you see justice done? Do you have the cunning of
Sherlock Holmes? The ingenuity of Miss Marple or indeed
possess the little grey matter of Poirot? There are many
motives and many red herrings and the finger of suspicion
can point at one and all; however, there can be only one
true culprit who not only has motive but also the means,
and the opportunity! Sit and observe or join in the investigation
and assist in interviewing the suspects and see how much
of a super sleuth you really are. |

Month by Month
there's murder…
The Big summer fair is due to open at three. The WI lecturers
at Denman Hall are launching their new fundraising campaign.
A saucy, but tasteful calendar is the talk of the village.
However, first thing this morning, Miss June, a.k.a. Mrs
Williams the gym instructor was found dead, crushed beneath
a pile of weights, Miss July, AKA Mrs Symons the art lecturer,
was found shortly before breakfast, posed for a still
life painting class. The only problem being, she was very
lifeless... And now at elevenses, Miss August, AKA Ms
Watson the beauty therapist, has been found on a beauty
table smothered to death by an organic facemask …
someone is killing off the calendar girls… month
